Q: Do I need any prior Spanish knowledge to join?
A: Not at all! We welcome complete beginners. On your first day, you’ll take a placement test so we can assign you to the appropriate level. If you’re a true beginner, you’ll start with A1 where everything is taught from scratch.
Q: How large are the group classes?
A: Our group classes have a maximum of 6 students to ensure everyone receives personal attention and plenty of speaking practice. Average class size is 3-4 students.
Q: Can I switch from group to private classes?
A: Absolutely! Many students combine both. You can start with group classes and add private sessions for extra practice, or switch entirely based on your progress and preferences.
Q: What if I need to miss a class?
A: We understand travel plans can be unpredictable. Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. For group classes, we offer make-up materials. For private classes, we can reschedule with advance notice.
Q: When can I start the program?
A: We have flexible start dates! Group classes begin every Monday. Private classes can start any day that works for you.
Q: What’s included in the Spanish + Volunteering price?
A: The combo price includes all Spanish classes, volunteer placement, orientation, materials, airport pickup, weekly cultural activity, certificate, and 24/7 support. Accommodation and meals are separate unless you choose a host family option.
Q: Can I volunteer without taking Spanish classes?
A: Yes! While we recommend combining both for the best experience, we do offer volunteering-only programs. However, intermediate Spanish (B1) is required for most volunteer positions.
Q: Do you offer accommodation booking assistance?
A: Yes! We help all our students find the perfect accommodation based on their preferences and budget. Host family placements are arranged directly by us, and we have partnerships with trusted hostels, hotels, and apartment providers.
Q: Is there an age requirement?
A: Students must be at least 18 years old to join our adult programs. We can arrange family programs or supervised programs for younger students upon request.
Q: Will I receive a certificate?
A: Yes! All students receive a certificate of completion stating the number of hours studied and the level achieved. This certificate is recognized and can be used for academic credit in some institutions (check with your school).
Q: What’s the best program duration?
A: It depends on your goals! For basic survival Spanish and travel purposes, 2 weeks is a good start. For conversational fluency (B1-B2), we recommend at least 4-8 weeks. For advanced proficiency, 12 weeks or more is ideal.
Q: How do I enroll?
A: Simply contact us with your preferred dates, program choice, and any questions. We’ll send you a registration form and all the details you need to prepare for your Spanish adventure in Peru!

There’s a difference between learning Spanish in a classroom back home and learning it in Cusco, surrounded by the language every single day. Here, Spanish isn’t homework. It’s how you order your morning coffee, chat with your host family at dinner, and connect with the children at your volunteer placement.
Our Spanish program is designed for real life, not textbooks. From your very first class, you’ll be speaking. Making mistakes. Laughing at yourself. And improving faster than you ever thought possible.
Whether you’re a complete beginner who only knows “hola” and “gracias” or an intermediate speaker looking to finally feel confident, our native Cusqueño teachers will meet you exactly where you are.
One on One: Your Spanish, Your Way
Private lessons are perfect if you want to learn at your own pace, focus on specific goals, or simply prefer individual attention.
Maybe you’re a medical volunteer who needs healthcare vocabulary. Maybe you’re shy about making mistakes in front of others. Maybe your schedule is unpredictable and you need flexibility. Whatever your reason, private lessons adapt completely to you.
Your teacher designs each class around your interests, your weaknesses, and your goals. Want to spend an entire session practicing how to bargain at the market? Done. Need to focus on verb conjugations because they’re driving you crazy? No problem. Prefer conversation practice over grammar drills? Your teacher adjusts.
Sessions can be scheduled around your volunteer work, weekend travel plans, or however your days unfold. You choose the intensity: 10, 15, or 20 hours per week.
What’s included: All materials and textbooks, level assessment on arrival, flexible scheduling, personalized curriculum, and a certificate of completion with your level and hours studied.
Learn Together, Grow Together
There’s something special about learning a language with other people. You practice conversations that feel real. You laugh together when someone accidentally says something ridiculous. You push each other to keep going when motivation dips.
Our group classes are small, never more than six students, so you still get plenty of individual attention. But you also get the energy and camaraderie of learning alongside fellow volunteers from around the world.
Classes follow a communicative approach, meaning you spend most of your time actually using Spanish, not just studying rules about it. Grammar is important, and we teach it, but always in the context of real situations you’ll encounter in Cusco.
The standard schedule works perfectly with volunteering: Spanish classes in the morning from 9am to 1pm, then volunteer work in the afternoon. By the time you arrive at your placement each day, you have fresh vocabulary and phrases ready to practice with real people.
What’s included: All materials and textbooks, level assessment and placement, 20 hours per week in small groups, mixed nationality classrooms, and a certificate of completion with your level and hours studied.
From Zero to Confident
Never studied Spanish before? Perfect. We love absolute beginners because we get to watch the magic happen, that moment when words that sounded like noise suddenly make sense.
Already speak some Spanish but feel stuck? We’ll push you past the plateau. Our teachers know exactly how to challenge intermediate students and fill in the gaps that self-study leaves behind.
Advanced but want to polish your skills? Dive into Peruvian culture, local expressions, and the nuances that make you sound natural instead of textbook-trained.
We assess your level when you arrive and place you in the right class. If you improve faster than expected, we move you up. No one stays bored, and no one gets left behind.
Learning Spanish here isn’t just about the classes. It’s about living the language.
Your host family becomes your best conversation partner. Every meal is a chance to practice. The señora at the corner store, the taxi driver, the kids at your volunteer project: they all become your teachers without even knowing it.
Cusco’s Spanish has a gentle, clear accent that’s easier to understand than many other Latin American varieties. And Cusqueños are incredibly patient with learners. They appreciate that you’re trying, and they’ll help you along.
By the end of your stay, Spanish won’t feel like a foreign language anymore. It will feel like a door you finally opened.
